Bay Advanced Technologies Becomes CTC Distributor

Control Technology Corp., a leading manufacturer of automation controllers that integrate motion control, I/O, user interfaces, and enterprise connectivity, announces that Bay Advanced Technologies of Newark, CA has signed on to be its distributor. A former CTC distributor for more than 15 years, Bay will be working once again with CTC Western Regional Manager Martin Umeh, who like Bay, has recently returned to CTC.

Martin Umeh Rejoins CTC

Control Technology Corp. welcomes another of its former employees, Martin Umeh, back to the company. Martin will be the new Western Regional Sales Manager, managing sales in the western US.

A former controls engineer, Martin has served in the western US in regional sales roles for both industrial automation control components and capital equipment.

Bob Dansereau Rejoins CTC

Tom Schermerhorn Appointed President of CTC

Control Technology Corp., a leading manufacturer of automation controllers that integrate motion control, I/O, user interfaces, and enterprise connectivity, announces the appointment of Thomas N. Schermerhorn as the new President of CTC. Tom joins CTC from Acushnet Company, manufacturer of world-leading Titleist® golf balls.

QuickBuilder screen capture Model 5300 Controllers Now Support Electronic Camming

Control Technology Corp. has released a new version of QuickBuilder™ software for Control Technology's Model 5300 line of controllers. The new version of QuickBuilder supports precision electronic camming motion, enabling designers to replace mechanical cams with servo axes that provide more precise and flexible machine control. This new feature supports position-based cams as well as time-based splines on Model 5300 motion modules.

M3-40A module CTC releases dual axis servo control module

Control Technology Corp. has released the M3-40A Dual Axis Servo Control Module. The M3-40A is one of more than 40 specialized modules for I/O, motion control and communications that may be installed in the Blue Fusion Model 5300 Automation Controller. Because a single Model 5300 can have up to 32 I/O modules, the new dual axis servo module allows users to tackle applications with as many as 64 axes of servo motion control.

M3-34B module CTC releases analog mixed-output module

Control Technology Corp. has released the M3-34B module, which has 4 16-bit 0 - 10 VDC analog outputs and 4 16-bit 4 - 20 mA analog outputs. The M3-34B module plugs into CTC's Model 5300 controller, which has one of the highest I/O densities on the market. The M3-34B's unique multi-type configuration enables users to connect two kinds of analog outputs to a single module, which can further minimize overall footprint size for the entire control unit.
