Module SS: Dual Axis Servo Control Module

Servo position loop rate of 250 μsec per axis
6 MHz (6,000,000 counts/sec) encoder feedback rate
Two high-speed registration inputs with resolution within ±1 encoder count
Electronic gearing, camming and other advanced servo control features
On-board processor offloads the data-intensive functions of servo control from the controller's main CPU

Note: the dual axis servo control module occupies two bays in the Model 5100 controller.
